New website is live

The cat's out of the bag, and the latest website I've created for displaying my photography is online.  This is (at least) the third overhaul I've done in content and format over the years.  It's hard to imagine that my first web site was done in 1996; the good old days of Geocities.  Since then I've migrated to managed hosting and Flash, now to CMS.

The Concrete5 CMS (http://www.concrete5.org) is both flexible and extensible.  It has a dedicated group of developers, nice add ins and almost unlimited potential.  The out of the box formats are a bit bland and my site is no exception.  My vision is outstripped by my limited coding abilities.  I've had to get under the hood even with a CMS to change things to more the way I want it.

This newest version of my site hopes to show off more than 'just' my photography of female models.  I actually spend far more time on "personal work" than I ever to on shooting models.  With the ability to add easily to the sites content the tip of a very large iceberg can be shown on the Personal Work section.

I recently for nothing more than curiosity tallied the number of photographs I'd taken since 2004.  The number is around 100,000.  The old adage about practice making perfect is true to some extent, though I have a long way to go. I have to do it through persistence, since it never came easily to me.  I'm grateful for the chance to capture the slices of time that I have.  I'm looking forward to many, many more.
